I am a Heather is an art showcase composed of artwork by and about people with the first name Heather. Curated by Heather Mallak, the exhibition intends to explore the social and psychological relevance and connotations of names. By observing artwork by or about Heathers from varying social and geographical climates, everyone is invited to consider the importance and impact of their own first name.

ABOUT THE CURATOR
Heather Mallak has spent 10 years coordinating, collaborating and performing with dozens of local artists to present over 40 multi-level, site-specific pieces in Pittsburgh. In May 2006 Mallak guest-curated "For Those About to Rock," a one-night performance art event at the Mattress Factory that drew hundreds of attendees.
