Though the venue has moved, one thing remains the same: Ten new short works by playwrights from Pittsburgh and beyond will be featured November 2-10, 2007, in this fourth installment of a new Pittsburgh theater tradition.   Future Tenant, an alternative art space recently relocated to 819 Penn Avenue in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, and Thank You, Felix Productions will present Future Ten 4: Good Buddy. Split into two weekends (Fridays and Saturdays), the festival will feature a varied collection of plots and characters.

This year’s festival will also feature a trucker theme and a “Trucker Challenge,” during which audience members will challenge each other for the illustrious designation of “Mother Trucker.”

Future Ten 4 will also feature the work of six directors, each of whom will helm one or two of the plays. Overseeing the shows are Lissa Brennan, Tami Dixon, Erica Highberg, Joseph Lyons, Brad Stephenson and Stacey Vespaziani.

Future Tenant will open at 7:30 PM each evening during the run of Future Ten 4 and free drinks will be available. There will be a $10 suggested donation collected at the door.
